Sadako project

We are going to do a project related to the book "Sadako i les mil grues de paper" and the song you are rehearsing.

You are going to work in groups of 3 or 4 people.

 The project has to be about some topic related to Japan:

- its culture and traditions (family, celebrations, food, language, literature...)
- its geography: the country, rural areas, important cities...

The project needs to have to different parts:

1) A written paper (200 words aproximately)
2) A powerpoint to present in class (everybody in the group needs to have a paragraph to work on and present in class without reading, just with the help of the images in the powerpoint)

 You will have two different marks:

1) Writing mark (as a group)
2) Speaking mark (individually)

We are going to dedicate one hour every week and the deadline for this project is  22/01/15.

Write about your pet or a pet you would like to have. Describe its characteristics and its habits.

Write about what you do every day at school.

Write about an animal

Describe all the characteristics and write about the habits of the animal in the card I gave you. Add a picture!

We've just introduced the present continuous for actions we do at the moment of speaking.

I'd like you to post a text on what you are doing right now and what other people are doing now.

A day in your life

We've been having a look at present simple structure and use.

I'd like to see your writing activity on what you do a normal day in your life. Remember you have to use affirmative and negative sentences, some frequency adverbs and some time expressions. Also, comment on what someone you know does.

PERSONAL INTRODUCTION

HELLO!

MY NAME IS ISABEL AND I LIVE IN OLOT. I’VE GOT TWO CHILDREN: A 12 YEAR-OLD BOY CALLED ARNAU AND A 9 YEAR-OLD BOY CALLED ISAAC. MY CHILDREN WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A DOG OR A CAT. WE HAD A BIRD, BUT IT FLEW AWAY LAST SUMMER. 

I’VE BEEN AN ENGLISH TEACHER FOR EIGHTEEN YEARS NOW. I’VE WORKED IN OTHER HIGH SCHOOLS, BUT THIS IS MY TWELFTH YEAR HERE IN BOSC DE LA COMA. IN MY FIRST YEAR AS A TEACHER I WORKED IN PUIGCERDÀ.

IN MY FREE TIME I LIKE READING, GOING FOR LONG WALKS, WATCHING FILMS AND SURFING ON THE INTERNET, BECAUSE I LIKE LEARNING ABOUT A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS, FOR EXAMPLE, I’M VERY INTERESTED IN BODY PSYCHOTHERAPY AND SELF-DEVELOPMENT. I ALSO ENJOY BEING WITH MY FRIENDS AND MY CHILDREN.

WHEN I’M ON HOLIDAYS I LOVE TRAVELLING TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES AND GETTING TO KNOW OTHER WAYS OF LIFE. THIS SUMMER I DIDN’T GO ABROAD, SO I COULDN’T PRACTISE MY ENGLISH!! 

I’M MEDIUM-HEIGHT. I’VE GOT LONG WAVY HAIR AND GREEN EYES. I LIKE WEARING NICE AND COMFORTABLE CLOTHES.
